There Are Two Sources Of Magnetism

There are two sources of magnetism; one is the orbital magnetic moment of electrons. It can be understood from the classical point of view that the circular motion of electrons around the nucleus forms a toroidal current, and the toroidal current generates a magnetic field. The second is the spin magnetism of electrons. The moment, the electron itself has a certain magnetic moment. The electrons are arranged around the nucleus according to specific rules, and the result of combining their orbital magnetic moment and spin magnetic moment is the magnetic moment of the ion. The electronic arrangement is very stable, except in extreme high temperature environments, or extremely strong external magnetic or electric fields, the magnetic moment of the ions is always constant. In this case, a magnetic ion can be regarded as a "small magnet" with constant strength.
