Samarium cobalt is a temperature-resistant magnetic material that is magnetic only after NdFeB

SmCo is divided into SmCo5 and Sm2Co17 according to the different components, which are the first generation and the second generation rare earth permanent magnet materials. Due to the scarcity of raw materials and the high price, its development is limited. As the second-generation rare earth permanent magnet, samarium cobalt (SmCo) not only has a high magnetic energy product (14-28MGOe) and reliable coercive force, but also exhibits good temperature characteristics in the rare earth permanent magnet series. Compared with NdFeB, samarium cobalt is more suitable for working in high temperature environments (>200 °C). The maximum operating temperature is up to 380 degrees, and the magnetic properties are stable and it is not easy to demagnetize.
